A HEART FOR ISRAEL AND THE JEWISH PEOPLE

The State of Israel, as the country is officially known is a tiny country, with only six million inhabitants. It is surrounded by 22 Arab countries, with 300 million people. Their combined land area is greater than that of all of Europe. Israel covers an area of 20,330 sq km; which is less that 10% of the size of my beloved country Ghana. The 2007 population estimates give the population of Israel as 6.4 million. This figure includes 264,000 Israeli settlers in the West Bank, 20,000 in the Golan Heights and 190,000 in East Jerusalem. From 2006 estimates Israel has a GDP of US$142.1 billion and GDP per capita of $20,139.

I have a heart for Israel and the Jews in general. This is not to say that I am going to donate my heart to a Jewish patient who needs heart transplant. I want to make a personal statement in support of the survival of the State of Israel and the Jews in general. I am very much aware that Israel or the Jews do not need my statement or anything that I can do or say to survive. In actual fact history has shown that they do not need the help of any person or nation to survive. History is also witness to the fact that all the empires that threatened and in fact started the process of “extermination’ of the Jews did not succeed. Their survival is based on their covenant with God.

The great Assyrian Empire persecuted the Jews and so did the great neo-Babylonian Empire. The great Phoenician Empire as well as the great Roman Empire persecuted the Jews. The “Third Reich” of Nazi Germany persecuted the Jews. And the powerful Soviet Union persecuted the Jews. All of these empires have been destroyed. And yet, the Jews are still a nation. In writing this piece I had research material from a lot of sources. Many of the facts presented in this paper were attained from various websites such as Waveworld.com, Wikipedia, Encyclopedia, Israel's Tourism Ministry and other major sources.

My statement in support of Israel does not mean or imply that I do not support any other country or peoples in the Middle East. My first love is for Ghana and Africa, at the same time I am very concerned about all the Nations and countries in the Middle East. I am concerned that a group of people have vowed to exterminate another group of people, this time again the Jews. That worries me. I am equally concerned about the plight of the Palestinian people. They need a country they can call their own and live in peace. The little difference here is that no one is threatening them with extermination and no empire in history has ever attempted to exterminate them. My heart will be for any nation that faces real threat of extermination.

My statement does also not imply that I like everything that the State of Israel does. In actual fact I myself do not like everything that I do so nobody should expect me to like everything that s(he) does.I am concerned about the survival of Israel and the Jews for many reasons. The first reason is that anytime a person, group or persons or a nation or groups of nations hatch a plan to destroy, exterminate, wipe out or ‘push into the sea’ another nation or another group of people or individuals the alarm bells should ring in the minds and hearts of all well meaning individuals.

In the 1930s Adolf Hitler openly expressed his hatred for the Jews and even documented it in his book “Mein Kampf”. Nobody took his pronouncements seriously and the world witnessed the tragedy that happened. That is why I want to make a statement first as a black person, as an Ghanaian, as a scientist, as a politician and finally as some one who believes in the TORAH.
When Hitler gained control of Germany and started his demonic programme to protect the Aryan ‘super race’ and to apply “the final solution” to other races he termed “worthless” and the “shame of humanity” it was not only the Jews that he attempted to get rid of. Several other peoples perished; although the Jews had a peculiar tragedy in the sense that Hitler wanted to exterminate the whole race from the face of the earth. It is known that about fifty million Russians died in the World War II tragedy. The first minor groups to disappear from Germany were the blacks, the Gypsies, homosexuals and deformed and disabled people, who Hitler termed “the shame of humanity”.

I am concerned that any system put in place to exterminate any people any where in the world has the potential of involving minorities not originally targeted in the initial diabolic plan. I want to make a statement because I cannot trust others in my part of the world to make a good statement on my behalf all the time.

When we are being killed we look on unconcerned and it always takes people from outside our continent to come to our aid; even then we sometimes protest. Take the situation in Dafur as an example. About a quarter of a million people have been slaughtered by a section of their own countrymen and women and the rest of Africa is impotent to intervene or mediate. Millions have been displaced internally and across the borders to other counties and Africa has no answers.

Then comes in the International Court of Justice, indicts the President under whose watch these atrocities are taking place and Africans through the AU are saying that the International Community should not “pour oil into the flames”. In other words do not touch President Omar Al Bashir or he will do worse things. Goodness! Don’t we care about ourselves? If it were a white mercenary group that killed two people in Dafur we would run to all the major capitals in the world begging for help.

I want to make a statement as a Ghanaian because in the late 1960s and early 1970s I witnessed the wonderful cooperation between the Ghana and Israel. If there are countries that sought and still seek the welfare of Africa Israel is certainly one of them. From all indications the relationship that Israel seeks is not that of colonial exploitation or the dumping of shoddy goods on African markets.

Israel’s relationship with Africa, I believe, respects the old Judaism tradition of “tikkun olam” or “mending the world.”
There is another reason that explains Israel’s ‘soft spot’ for Africa. Most Jews leaders believe that assisting others, especially the vulnerable is good for their national psyche. It makes them feel like they are a real country and that there is an existence outside the Arab-Israel conflict.

Theodor Herzl, a Hungarian-born Austrian Jewish author who founded the Zionist movement in Basel, Switzerland in August 1897 wrote in his 1902 novel the “Altneuland”: "There is still one other question arising out of the disaster of the nations which remains unsolved to this day, and whose profound tragedy only a Jew can comprehend. This is the African question... I am not ashamed to say, though I may expose myself to ridicule in saying so, that once I have witnessed the redemption of the Jews, my people, I wish also to assist in the redemption of the Africans."
Herzl, who died in 1904 didn't live to see his vision about the redemption of Africa materialize. This position of Herzl and other Jewish leaders give credence to the assertion that the Jews have a heart for Africa.

Ghana, my beloved country, was the first African country to establish formal diplomatic relations with Israel in 1958, just a year after independence. Golda Meir, the Israeli foreign minister at the time sent Ehud Avriel to become the first ambassador to Ghana. Golda herself attended Ghana's first anniversary celebrations in 1958. From 1958 till 1973 when Ghana broke off diplomatic relations with Israel in accordance with an OAU resolution enjoining all member states to do so the two countries maintained resident Ambassadors and enjoyed very warm and cordial relations. The OAU (AU) decision came as a result of Israel’s seizure of Palestinian and Arab lands, including Sinai, which was part of Egypt, following the Arab-Israeli war in 1973.

Some of the major areas of cooperation between Ghana and Israel countries during this period included shipping, construction, agriculture, labour issues, manpower training, science and medicine, security matters and culture.
Israel, with help from India, supervised the establishment of the Ghanaian Air Force in April 1959. A small Israeli team also trained aircraft maintenance personnel and radio technicians at the Accra-based Air Force Training School. Ghanaian pilots also received some training at aviation schools in Israel. Israel helped Ghana set up its Black Star Line company and trained its police force, doctors, dentists and veterinarians. In the area of sanitation the Israelis started a central sewage system in Accra.

The good relationship between Ghana and Israel notwithstanding it is on record that the leaders of the two countries had different views as to the direction Ghana should take to develop. Golda Meier, for example, thought Nkrumah was turning himself into a demigod by encouraging the sculpturing of his statues and minting coins bearing his effigy.
The special relations between Ghana and Israel received its first major jolt long before the OAU boycott in 1973. During the January 1961 Non-Aligned Conference in Casablanca Nkrumah signed a resolution promoted by Nasser "singling out Israel as the pillar of imperialism in Africa." That notwithstanding Israel continued its development aid to Ghana essentially until 1973 - when, in the wake of the Yom Kippur War, Accra and the rest of black Africa succumbing to Arab pressure and desires broke ties with Israel. Ghana had an Israeli "interests’ office," and Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the Central African Republic all maintained unofficial ties with Israel.

The subsequent checkered course of Ghana’s political and economic development is, as the saying goes, history. The relationship between Ghana and Israel did not end on that sorry note in 1973. The African boycott of Israel began to collapse after the 1978 Camp David Accords and the establishment of diplomatic relations between Egypt and Israel. Following Zaire's lead in 1982, Liberia (1983), the Côte d'Ivoire (1986), Cameroon (1986), and Togo (1987) renewed diplomatic ties with Israel.Several other African countries, although maintaining their diplomatic distance, nevertheless had unofficial ties with Israel, as expressed by the presence of Israeli advisers and technicians. Ghana had an Israeli ‘interests’ office, and Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and the Central African Republic all maintained unofficial ties with Israel.

Finally in 1994, Israel and Ghana signed a renewal-of-relations agreement, and in 1996, Ghana reopened its mission in Tel Aviv. Presently Mr. Opoku Nsiah, the former inspector General of the Ghana Police Service in the Ghana Ambassador to Israel. Regrettably there is no Israeli embassy in Accra; The Israeli ambassador to Ghana is actually stationed in Abuja, Nigeria. Trade between the two countries is picking up; the balance of trade is to the advantage of Israel, as is the case between Ghana and almost all her trading partners. In 2006 Israel imported $6.5 million and exported $13.9 million worth of goods and services.

I have always wondered why America is so supportive of Israel. History gives par of the answer. In 1492 many Jews living in Spain, who were often referred to as Marranos (swine) were forced to be baptized into the Catholic faith. Hundreds were burnt at stake and the rest were expelled from the country. Ironically it was in that same year that Christopher Columbus, who sailed from Spain, landed in America. A Portuguese Jew named Abe Zacuto drew up the maps used on the voyage. Jews financed Columbus' expedition; the first finances came from Isaac Abravanel, Luis de Santangel and Gabriel Sanchez. The ships' doctors were Jewish, and it was a Jew, Rodrigo de Triana, who first saw land. The first foot set on land was Jewish, belonging to Luis de Torres. In the early days of America Jewish money helped finance the country’s budget. Haym Salomon is known to have financed prominent personalities such as James Madison one of the Founding Fathers of the United States who became the 4th President of the United States of America and was considered to be the "Father of the Constitution" as well as the "Father of the Bill of Rights".
Salomon never received payment for his loans. The U.S. Government honoured him by putting his picture on a 10 cent stamp.

My statement of support for Israel has little to do with my Christian faith. Throughout history some Christians have persecuted the Jews for religious reasons. I do not share the view expressed by many that people of other faith such as Christians and Moslems hate the Jews for religious reasons.

According to Adnan Oktar (pen name Harun Yahya), a prominent contemporary Turkish intellectual “God reveals in the Qur'an that Jews, like Christians, are part of the people of the book. Moslems as well as Jews, I suppose, believe in the same God and follow the examples set by the prophets sent by Him with due love and respect. Abraham, Isaac, Joseph, Moses, David and Solomon (peace be upon them all) are as important to Moslems as they are to Jews. Moslems address the Jews and the Christians as follows in the Qur'an: "We believe in what has been sent down to us and what was sent down to you. Our God and your God are one and we submit to Him." (Qur'an, 29:46)
All forms of social relations between Moslems and Jews must be within a framework of justice, peace and security, and Moslems' attitude towards Jews must always be reconciliatory, forgiving and tolerant.” Based on the above I do not expect dedicated Christians and Moslems to hate Jews for religious reasons.

As a scientist I am concerned that a plot should be hatched to exterminate a people who have contributed so much to the body of knowledge in all fields of study. Jews currently make up approximately 0.25% of the world's population and 2% of the US population. Nevertheless more than 176 Jews have been awarded the Nobel Prize, accounting for 23% of all individual recipients worldwide between 1901 and 2007, and constituting 37% of all US recipients during the same period. In the scientific research fields of Chemistry, Economics, Medicine, and Physics, the corresponding world and US percentages of Nobel Prize for Jews are 27% and 40%, respectively.

In chemistry 29 of the Nobel Prize winners were Jews, which gives a percentage of 19 of the world’s total. In economics Jews account for 41% of winners. The figure for literature is 13%. For the Nobel Peace Prize Jews make up 9% of winners. In physics Jews account for 26% and in physiology and medicine the figure is 28%. Jews constitute over 40% of the combined membership of the divisions of physics and applied physical sciences of the US National Academy of Sciences.

How can any one think of exterminating a people that gave us notable personalities such as Alan Greenspan, former chairman of the Federal Reserves Bank, Albert Einstein, the discoverer of the general theory of relativity and David Beckham, the footballer? In the game of Chess 29 out of the 64 strongest players of all time are Jews. Among them are Garry Kasparov, Bobby Fischer, Mikhail Botvinnik, Emanuel Lasker, Viktor Korchnoi and Vasily Smyslov.

The list of the greatest Orchestra Conductors include a disproportionately long list of Jews including Vladimir Ashkenazy, Daniel Barenboim, Leonard Bernstein, Antal Doráti, Otto Klemperer, Gustav Mahler, Felix Mendelssohn, Sir Georg Solti, George Szell, Bruno Walter and Lorin Maazel, to mention a few.

Jewish contributions to the medical and biological sciences in the modern era have been phenomenal. Listed below is just a fraction of Jewish achievements in these fields. The invention of local analgesia by Carl Koller and the discovery of Novocaine, a local anaesthetic by Alfred Einhorn revolutionalized the conduct of minor surgical operations.
Blood transfusion, as we know it today was made possible after the discovery of the ABO blood groups and the Rhesus factor by Karl Landsteiner.

Selman Waksman received the 1952 Nobel Prize for his work, which created the first antibiotic (a term that he introduced) effective against tuberculosis, for which (in combination with other drugs) it remains a therapeutic mainstay. Shepard Shapiro
developed Warfarin (Coumadin) as an anticoagulant. Warfarin is the most commonly used anticoagulant for the prevention of heart attacks, strokes and deep vein thrombosis, as well as management of patients who have received artificial heart valves.

The ubiquitous Aspirin (acetylsalicylic acid) was invented by Charles Gerhardt. Can any one think of family planning without oral contraceptives, which were developed by Gregory Pincus, Carl Djerassi, and Frank Colton? Dr. Casimir Funk, a Polish Jew, discovered vitamins.
If polio has almost been eradicated in the world it is due to the availability of the Salk and Sabin polio vaccines developed by Jonas Salk and Albert Sabin, respectively. The co-development of 6-mercaptopurine (6-MP) by Gertrude Elion, which used in combination with methotrexate and other drugs, has led to cures for most forms of childhood leukemia. Again in the area of cancer treatment Barnett Rosenberg discovered and developed the drug Cisplatin which has led to a complete reversal in the prognosis for testicular cancer, a malignancy that had almost always been fatal and is now nearly 95% curable.
David Baltimore and independently Howard Temin discovered retroviruses and their associated reverse transcriptase enzyme which are implicated in AIDS and in some cancers. It also took three other Jews, Jerome Horwitz, Samuel Broder, and Irving Sigal to develop AZT and other drugs used in the treatment of AIDS.
The genetic code was broken by Marshall Nirenberg. Nirenberg and Har Gobind Khorana (a non-Jew) shared the 1968 Nobel Prize for their independent determinations of the code.
.
Nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) was discovered by I. I. Rabi, who received the 1944 Nobel Prize in physics for the demonstration of NMR in molecular beams. The invention of the cardiac defibrillator, external pacemaker, and cardiac monitor by Paul Zoll changed the practice of cardiology and cardiac surgery.

Abel Wolman co-invented the basic technique used worldwide for the controlled chlorination of drinking water supplies, an invention that resulted in a dramatic reduction in the incidence of such waterborne diseases as cholera, dysentery, and typhoid fever. It was arguably the single most important contribution to public health in the twentieth century. Two Jewish doctors, Widal and Weil, discovered the treatment for typhoid. The test to determine whether some one has typhoid fever is called Widal test.
The above are just a few examples of the Jewish contributions to medical science and biology.
Jews feature prominently in the field of psychology. The great Sigmund Freud discovered psychoanalysis. In our contemporary world many Jews are mentioned in textbooks. Eric Erikson developed a developmental approach to personality. David Wechsler created the well-known IQ test. Two of the founders of Gestalt Psychology (a school of thought that looks at the human mind and behavior as a whole), Kurt Koffka and Max Wertheimer, who did the original experiment demonstrating the phi phenomenon which led to the motion picture, were Jewish. Dr. Thomas Szasz is another great Jewish psychiatrist whose name is almost a household one. He wrote the now famous book ‘The Myth of Mental Illness: Foundations of a Theory of Personal Conduct’. These are just a few of the Jews who have advanced the sciences of both mind and body.
Jews have excelled in the field of entertainment. Notable film producers and Directors include: Steven Spielberg, Stanley Kubrick, Mel Brooks, Bryan Singer, Roger Birnbaum, Woody Allen, Joel & Ethan Coen, Roman Polanski, Ben Stiller, Aaron Spelling, Oliver Stone, Neil Simon, Darren Aronofsky, Andrew Vajna, Brian Epstein, Louis B. Mayer, (also co-founder of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer studio), Fritz Lang, Michael Mann, Sergei Eisenstein, Samuel Goldwyn (one of the founders of Hollywood), Sergei Eisenstein, Maya Deren Carl Reiner, Erich von Stroheim, Billy Wilder, Michael Curtiz, Bruce Paltrow, Milos Forman, Mike Leigh, Douglas Fairbanks, Otto Preminger, William Wyler, Michael Balcon and Ivan Reitman

In music and entertainment the Jewish contribution has been phenomenal. Names that come to mind include Barbara Streisand, Sammy Davis Jnr. (a convert to Judaism), Jerry Seinfeld, Charlie Chaplin, Benny Goodman, Kirk Douglas, Jerry Lewis, Paul Simon, Art Garfunkel, Sarah Jessica Parker, Irving Berlin a songwriter, Isaac Stern the violin virtuoso, Neil Diamond, George Gershwin a composer and Itzhak Perlman a violinist.
In politics, statesmanship and government, I believe that Jews have blessed the world. Individuals to remember in this category include: Moshe Dayan Minister of Defense during the 6-day war, Golda Meir, Israeli Prime Minister from 1969-1974 and also a founder of the State of Israel, Madeleine Korbel Albright U.S. Secretary of State under President Clinton, Alan Greenspan Economist, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, United States Supreme Court Justice and Michael Bloomberg, a renowned philanthropist and Mayor of New York City.
Jews have dominated and have become almost ‘notorious’ in the field of nuclear energy. They are mainly responsible for the development of nuclear weapons. Even before nuclear bombs the Jews developed weaponry for Western democracies during WWI. Chaim Weizman created acetone, a flammable liquid necessary for the production of cordite, the smokeless powder crucial to the British war machine. It is widely believed that as a reward of Weisman’s invention the British passed the Balfour Declaration in 1917 in order to provide a homeland for the Jews. Weizman also helped the U.S. to make synthetic rubber in 1942, thus having an important effect on WWII.
The Jews established the theory of the atom, split the atom, and made the atom bomb, the hydrogen (H) Bomb and the neutron bomb. Albert Einstein generated it all when he created the now universally known equation E = MC2, indicative of the power in a nuclear explosion and its incredible energy. He was also involved in the invention of television. A Jewish woman, Lise Meitner, an expert in atomic theory, was involved in the Newton-induced fission of the uranium nucleus. Enrico Fermi, an Italian Jew, is given credit for the first successful nuclear fission, in other words, splitting the atom.
With the advent of WWII came the Manhattan Project led by J. Robert Oppenheimer, one of several Jews involved in the project. He also advanced quantum theory and helped originate work in cosmic rays and relativity. Another Jewish pioneer of the atom is Niels Bohr, a Danish Jew, who also worked on the bomb. Another participant in the Manhattan Project was Edward Teller, a Hungarian Jew. Teller is responsible for a more awesome nuclear weapon, namely the H-bomb. Finally, there is Sam Cohen, a little known American Jew who also worked on the Manhattan Project. But, unknown to his own neighbours, modest Sam was responsible for the creation of the neutron bomb. Obviously there is almost a complete monopoly by the Jews on the nuclear market.
Jewish achievements in mathematics and physics have been legendary. Michelson, the first American Nobel Prize winner, measured the speed of light and the diameters of two stars larger than the sun. Norbert Wiener also a Jewish mathematician is referred to as the father of cybernetics, the science that developed the computer. The Italian Jew Tulilo Levi-Civita was renowned for his theory of parallel displacement and his work was fundamental to Einstein's theory of relativity. The French Jew, Jacques Hadamard, has been called one of the greatest mathematicians who ever lived. Another Italian Jew, Vito Volterro, initiated a new branch of mathematics called the theory of integral and differential equations and stands among the great mathematicians of modern times. Charles Steinmetz, a diminutive hunched-back man, a genius, was almost solely responsible for bringing electricity into the home. Steinmetz worked for General Electric and, without the use of computers, made the necessary calculations for the utilization of electricity. Siegfried Marcus made the first electrical instrument for regulating temperature and invented a way of measuring earth movements. He also worked on forerunners of the loudspeaker and the electric lamp. Eugene Goldstein participated in the discovery of gamma rays. Heinrich Hertz, a German Jew is considered among the ten physicists of most influence during the past 100 years. He measured the length and velocity of electromagnetic waves and demonstrated the electromagnetic nature of light Hertz proved that electricity can be transmitted in electromagnetic waves, which travel at the speed of light and which possess many other properties of light. His experiments with these electromagnetic waves led to the development of the wireless telegraph and the radio. His name also became the term used for radio and electrical frequencies: hertz (Hz), as in kilohertz (kHz) or megahertz (MHz).
The October 2007 issue of ‘Vanity Fair’ Magazine published two articles one on page 259 with the title, "The 2007 New Establishment". The article was about 100 people the Magazine considered to be the most influential in America. Out of the 100 people 51 were Jews. On page 306 in the same issue of the magazine was another list called "The Next Establishment" listing younger people who Vanity Fair believes will eventually make it to the 'big list.' There are 26 people on that list and 15 of them are Jews. Incredible! These are facts that cannot be overlooked or ignored.

As a politician I want to express my opposition to any moves that have the potential of exterminating a people that to me gave the world the principles of democracy.
The prophet Isaiah described the Separation of Powers of State when he wrote that: “For the Lord is our JUDGE, the Lord is our LAWGIVER, the Lord is our KING; it is He who will save us”. (Isaiah 33:22). This verse describes the separation of powers with the offices: judge, lawgiver and king representing the judiciary, parliament and the executive respectfully.
The unalienable right we enjoy in our democracy and true democracies elsewhere: the right to life, liberty and pursuit of happiness are given to us by God and not any political system that is why they are “fundamental” human rights. The Bible, written by Jews makes this clear in John 8:36: “If the son sets you free you shall be free indeed” and again in 2 Corinthians 3:17- “Now the Lord is the Spirit and where the spirit of the Lord is there is freedom.”
The Church should be thankful to the Jewish authors of the Bible because the prophet Ezra provided the Biblical Foundation for Church Tax Exemption in Ezra 7:24- “You are also to know that you have no authority to impose taxes, tribute or duty on any of the priests, Levites, singers, gatekeepers, temple servants or other workers at the house of God”.

Our world today is a better place due to contributions that have been made by people in all ethnic, religious, and cultural groups. However, the Jewish contribution is simply phenomenal.
Could it be that, as the Bible says, the Jews are a blessed people? Some people may not accept this statement but the evidence is clear. Whatever the case may be, the Jews appear to have a unique status, at least in the biblical sense. They were chosen as the people who would hear and record the words of God, through His prophets, who were also Jewish. The Apostles of Yeshua HaMashiach (Jesus the Christ) were Jews and the Messiah himself was a Jew. These are facts no one can alter.

The Jews have influenced the world with the scriptures. There are now about 2 billion Christians in the world. In one form or another, these scriptures have influenced more than half of the people in the world to abandon pagan worship. The Jews, in this regard, and in many others, have influenced the world more than any other group of people.
Throughout this presentation I have mentioned a few of the Jewish inventions and contributions to the body of world knowledge. Before any country contemplates on boycotting Israel it should first attempt to boycott those inventions and contributions. As a reminder I will list a few of them here:
Discard all computers because the Pentium NMX Chip technology was designed at Intel in Israel; both the Pentium 4 microprocessor and the Centrium processor were entirely designed, developed, and produced in Israel.
Throw away all mobile phones again because cell phone technology was also developed in Israel by Motorola, which has its biggest development center in Israel. Most of the latest technology in your mobile phone was developed by Israeli scientists.
Do not vaccinate your children against polio. The two known vaccines were developed by Jews.
Discard all MRI machines from your hospitals because there are Jewish fingers on them.
Instruct all medical doctors and laboratory personnel to avoid the Widal test for typhoid fever.
In case of outbreak of small pox let your doctors boycott the human monoclonal antibodies developed at the Ben Gurion University which can neutralize the highly contagious smallpox virus without inducing the dangerous side effects of the existing vaccine.
Do not treat HIV because the disease as well as the drug AZT for its treatment was discovered by a Jew.
Any country that wants to boycott Israel should be upright enough to advise its citizens to avoid taking aspirin, even if they need it to avoid clogging of the heart vessels. They should also avoid the use of cancer drugs. Not only that the use of external defibrillators to resuscitate patients with cardiac arrest should be banned. What about banning IQ test in that country?
I think it will be hypocritical to enjoy the music, film and other forms of entertainment and educational materials created by Jews and still boycott Israel. All countries, including the haters of Jews, still measure Electromagnetic Frequencies in Hertz units. Let us not forget that Heinrich Hertz first measured the length and velocity of electromagnetic waves.
Finally any country that hates Jews should not attempt to develop the atomic bomb, which was invented mostly by Jews.
Avoid and equipment that has a loud speaker and see how you can enjoy your music.
The list is very tall but I believe the point is clear.

All empires and forces that stood against the Jews throughout history fell never to rise again. Why is it so? Could it be because God had made this promise to the Jews in Genesis 12:2-3 - "I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you"? I believe so because God keeps His promises. One cannot call himself a Christian and still hate the Jews.

Certainly I do not want to curse Israel and the Jews. As I pray for the peace of Accra despite, or especially because of, its sanitation problems I will also pray for the peace of Jerusalem. One of these days a country or a group of countries will threaten to attack Israel and I can imagine a pre-emptive strike from Israel which will trigger a war in the Middle East. Pressure will be exerted on countries across the world to boycott or abandon Israel just as happened after the 1967 war and especially after the 1973 Yom Kippur war. At that point nations and individuals will take a stand. What will be the position of the African Union or ECOWAS? And you dear reader, what will be your position? I will put my weight, lightweight though, behind Israel.

Blessed be YEHVAH ELOHIYM, the Holy one of YISRAEL and GHANA. I will continue to pray for the peace of ‘Yerushalem’ and also pray for improved sanitation and the peace of Accra. SHALOM
